Climate Gamestation 

An exciting experience awaits you at the Gamestation on Monday! Test and expand your climate knowledge in the exciting climate games ECOPOLIS and Hauptplatz-Hero. In ECOPOLIS you design a sustainable city, while in Hauptplatz-Hero you solve tricky environmental tasks and put your knowledge to the test in the climate quiz.

Sustainable learning is at the centre of our activities: immerse yourself in a world full of adventure and become a climate hero / climate heroine. Come along and join in - for a greener future!

Melt, melt, baby

Melt, melt, baby! This is the motto of the climate activist artist group Aggro Climate's exaggerated campaign on glacier melt. The ice age is over, as it is estimated that Alpine glaciers will lose 91% of their surface area and 94% of their mass by the end of the century. But what will happen to the glaciers' public landscapes after the melt?

Sweating slightly, sitting in a deckchair and swinging to the flow of the hottest party hits, Aggro Climate want to know what Linzers' coolest ideas are for the time after the melt. Sed critical, sed provocative, sed surprising, and philosophise with Aggro Climate about red-hot concepts for the glacier melt. Easily accessible, you can become part of a competition of ideas that will melt hearts and expectations.

Laboratory of confidence 

In the Laboratory of Confidence you can live out your curiosity about technology: Build your own robot from simple electronic components (including Arduino) and decorative materials. The robots then compete against each other in the arena. But watch out: it's not just who throws which robot out of the ring first that counts, but also how elegant and unusual your robot moves!

Kids can try out the Dash robots from the hello world programmes. With Scratch, even the youngest children can playfully practise their first steps in programming.

Pioneer city

The City of Linz wants to become climate-neutral by 2040 at the latest and is part of the federal Pioneer City project. We have developed a city-wide climate neutrality concept to define measures to rapidly decarbonise the energy, transport and building sectors of the direct and extended sphere of influence. Starting with the Franckviertel neighbourhood, this will be our role model for the entire city!

Linz with Ambitio3xn develops solution modules for the three ambition fields of governance, implementation and learning environment and addresses the areas of energy, mobility and buildings, which together contribute around 1.4 megatonnes of CO2 equivalents to the city's annual greenhouse gas emissions. Come along and find out more about what we are doing and how YOU can be part of it!

Experience co-working and the mini-expats café on Linz's main square - exchange ideas with our colleagues from the business department if you want to set up a company in Linz, already run one or live and work in Linz as an international! The City of Linz supports start-ups and entrepreneurs with a wide range of funding opportunities and also wants to create the best possible framework conditions for expats in order to continue to develop Linz as an attractive business location.

Here you can work in an inspiring atmosphere, build networks and realise your ideas. Linz makes targeted investments in promoting the economy and creates attractive conditions for innovative projects. Take the opportunity to turn your visions into reality!

Create your City! 

Become the mayor of your city! In the Mayority game, you will make decisions for your city and playfully learn what it means to respond to the various needs of a city's residents while keeping an eye on resources and satisfaction.

We will also show you how our participation workshop with school classes in the Old Town Hall works and collect your suggestions for our Linz of the future. Where is there potential for improvement? What have you already seen in other cities that should not be missing in Linz in the future? Design your future city of Linz and share your ideas with us.
