// Programming for all ages and levels
hello world
Workshops
hello world is a media education program developed by Open Commons in IKT and now continued at the Innovationshauptplatz of the city Linz. It offers free workshops for children aged 8 to 12. The program was created to introduce children to the world of technology in a playful way, encouraging them to develop their technical skills and unleash their creativity."
The free hello world courses for kids aged 8 to 12 are once again taking place regularly at the Wissensturm and in the Kleinmünchen-Auwiesen and Pichling municipal libraries. Registration is possible in the VHS course program.
Are you over 12 years old? Then come and visit the Laboratory of Confidence! There you can design your own projects related to technology and media! From programming and designing “serious” games to 3D printing, the Laboratory of Confidence gives you the opportunity to learn about technical tools and help shape a better future.
Together with great mentors, you will spend an afternoon tinkering, building and coding. You can then take your own self-built things home with you. In the two workshop modules, you will learn, for example, how to programme a robot or make books talk. You don't need any previous knowledge and you don't need to bring anything with you.
You get a glimpse behind the scenes of the world of technology and can actively help shape it. What makes hardware and software work, how do you programme robots, how do you use a soldering iron? Together with media educators and mentors, you will learn how to create a simple programme yourself and how to hack paper and other materials.
