INNOVATIONSHAUPTPLATZ
THE IDEA
PLATFORM
The Innovationshauptplatz has been open since July 2, 2019. On the one hand, the Innovationshauptplatz of the City Linz takes its name from its location at Pfarrgasse 3, directly on Linz's main square. On the other hand, it underlines its claim to be the hub for innovation projects in the Upper Austrian capital. Projects that go beyond start-ups, high-tech and IT business and can touch all urban areas of life from education, the environment and social affairs to culture.

CLIMATE FUND PROJECTS
In addition to projects within the city administration, the municipal climate fund has been able to provide financial support for innovative climate projects by private individuals, initiatives, schools and educational institutions, private companies and associations since summer 2020. However, the success of the climate fund projects cannot be explained solely by the freeing up of new climate-related funds in the budget of the City of Linz. The uncomplicated and technically correct supervision of the climate fund projects can also be seen as a social innovation in the climate work of the city of Linz.
