// 9 November 2022 - That was the kick-off for

Linz connects
IT & Economy

Why is there this network meeting? There was an exchange with the business community and at this one man had an idea - why isn't there an IT network meeting in Linz? Thanks to Heribert Karrer from the Arrow company in Linz. He was listened to by municipal director Ulrike Huemer and the idea was followed by action.

The goal is to network IT companies and businesses with each other, to create an open exchange and confidentiality. A community that should make a difference and exchange information about current topics, trends and problems.

Keynote speaker Helmut Leopold, Head of Center for Digital Safety & Security of the AIT Austrian Institute of Technology GmbH, gave insights into how Austria deals with data. Mr Leopold also said that we need functioning data markets and data ecosystems for "functioning" economies and for a positively developing society. One recommendation here is the implementation of modern protective mechanisms for cyber security "High-Tech made in Austria".

Harald Radi, Managing Director at Cloudflight, talked about how they deal with the topic of IT security in the company and gave some exciting examples from everyday life. Thanks also to Michael Pötscher and Linzer Bier for the tasting afterwards and to everyone who attended the Linz connects kick-off!

Information on the next event in the Linz connects series will be provided in due course by personal invitation! For further information please contact innovation@mag.linz.at
